In 2015, I was employed as an architectural designer at Design: Hill Holt Wood, a very unique design practice grounded in sustainable design .

The practice works as an in-house Design & Build team. The Foresters manage the woodlands and produced lumber (using the on-site sawmill) The designers and carpenters then collaborate and use this wood to make structures for the community.

Projects ranged from small community structures and outdoor classrooms to larger straw bale builds. Teaching and running workshops were a large part of my role. Engaging young adults in sustainable design and the use of natural materials.
